Our Village of Family and Friends

There is an African saying that "it takes a village to raise a child." Our village is filled with friends and family looking forward to bringing our child into their lives. Our parents are nearby and we see our siblings and their five fun kids often. We frequently visit family in Santa Cruz (Calif.), Tucson (Ariz.), Washington DC, Chicago (Ill.), San Antonio (Tex.), and Indiana--where Matt grew up.

Suleyman is a very social cat. He especially likes kids.

We share our home with our big gray cat, who loves to watch the wild world from our dining room window and to stretch out and purr in the small space between us when we’re lying together on the couch.

Fun Facts:

• Kristin and her younger brother call each other by the same term of endearment: Knucklehead.
• Matt and his dad go on a guys' road trip every year.
• Kristin's mom is SO proud of her, she can't help mentioning that her daughter went to Harvard.
• Matt's mom loved Italy. Matt took her there a few months before she died, and they had a blast.
• Our cat Suleyman is named after an Ottoman emperor.
